The team, however, found no larvae in the fountains.Last year, the civic body had conducted similar inspections at various places, including government complexes and housing quarters, where larvae of Aedes Aegypti type of mosquito that spread dengue had been found. Officials said they would hand over warning notices to households that are found allowing mosquito to breed on their premises by accumulating water.“Door-to-door visits by civic teams are on and if stagnant water or larvae is found anywhere, a warning notice will be served. More visits would be conducted and if larvae is found again in the same households, appropriate action would be taken against them,” Roy said.
