West Bengal: Mamata government to change colour of police uniform from khaki to white

The Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government has decided to change the uniform colour of state police personnel in the rank of constable to inspector from khaki to white, a senior official of the home department said on Friday. “The proposal of changing the existing colour of uniform from khaki to white uniform for police personnel in the rank of constable to inspector in unarmed branch and traffic police in police commissionerate under West Bengal Police was under active consideration.
