The injured reportedly told Banik that he was riding his bike, when he suddenly felt something sharp cut through his throat; as he tried to free himself, his fingers also got cut in the kite string.“I had some bandage in my car. I tried to stop the bleeding by wrapping the bandage around the wound but to no use. I put my handkerchief around his throat and wrapped the bandage,” Banik said. He reportedly offered to drive the victim to a hospital but he refused. “The man was reluctant to leave the bike on the flyover,” Banik said.The incident came to the fore on Friday, when one of Banik’s colleagues, who had taken some photographs and videos of the incident, posted them on Facebook. “We don’t even know his name,” said Saikat Banerjee, who posted the photos.
