7 Presidency University students on hunger strike

KOLKATA: Seven students of Presidency University went on an indefinite hunger strike on the campus in protest against the suspension of three students for the entire semester.They are camping in the portico of the main building where they organised a sit-in last year to protest against the delay in the renovation of Hindu Hostel. The three students were found guilty of locking the university gates a day before the convocation, which finally had to be shifted out of the campus. The university will observe its foundation day on Sunday. "The suspension must be withdrawn," said PG student Ayan chakraborti.
