This, at times, lead to incorrect numbers being noted down and citations for violations reaching owners of buses that don’t even ply on those routes.Justice Debangshu Basak directed the state government to file an affidavit, stating the details of the traffic monitoring system, within two weeks before adjourning the case for four weeks.“We wanted to draw the attention of the court to the arbitrary nature of issuing challans.
