Kolkata: Digha Sankarpur Development Authority (DSDA) has decided to ban horse-riding on Digha sea beach.
Those who used to ply their horses on the beach have been asked to withdraw the animals from there.
Horse-riding has been one of the most common joyrides for tourists, especially children, in Digha.
The district administration and police on Saturday conducted a campaign along the beach in Digha, urging the horse owners to stop plying the animals on the beach.
The boy's father said Abir was playing with his sisters in the sea beach.
