NEET 2020 prospectus to be published in Bengali

Kolkata: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to publish the prospectus for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) in Bengali. The official brochures for NEET have been released along with the most awaited NEET 2020 application form. There are a number of changes made in the NEET 2020 prospectus which include the hike in the application fee, the opening of correction window and the merger of AIIMS and JIPMER with the NEET. It may be mentioned that NEET application fee has been increased from Rs 1,400 to Rs 1,500 for general categories. Meanwhile, the amount of fees for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender aspirants has been increased by Rs 50 and they have to pay Rs 800 now.

Kolkata: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to publish the prospectus for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) in Bengali. The NTA had released the prospectus in 7 languages including English, Assamese, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya Gujarati and Tamil on December 3, where the Bengali language had been excluded. However, within a week, the NTA has taken a U-turn and decided to include Bengali so that a large number of students from Bengal do not face any difficulties while reading the information in the prospectus. The official brochures for NEET have been released along with the most awaited NEET 2020 application form. The brochure has all the relevant information relating to the rules of the NEET. There are a number of changes made in the NEET 2020 prospectus which include the hike in the application fee, the opening of correction window and the merger of AIIMS and JIPMER with the NEET. The NEET 2020 brochure mentions the important information, dates as well as the eligibility criteria related to the application process, examination and admission. Candidates can now download the prospectus in all the different languages. It may be mentioned that NEET application fee has been increased from Rs 1,400 to Rs 1,500 for general categories. Meanwhile, the amount of fees for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender aspirants has been increased by Rs 50 and they have to pay Rs 800 now. Lastly, candidates belonging to general EWS (economically weaker section) and OBC-NCL have to pay Rs 1,400.
