Bengal education minister seeks change in UGC NET exam dates

Kolkata: West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee on Sunday urged the National Testing Agency to change the schedule of the UGC-NET exams that coincide with Durga Puja. "Durga puja is the biggest festival in Bengal. It is a national festival. The five-day Durga Puja begins on October 22 with Mahasasthi. The National Eligibility Test determines the eligibility for the post of assistant professor and junior research fellowship in the universities and colleges.
