Last letter of Kerala nurse Lini who died attending Nipah virus

This is the letter is from Lini, to her husband Sajeesh, who succumbed to Nipah Virus attending to patients affected by the same.
“Sajeeshetta, am almost on the way. I don’t think I will be able to see you again. Sorry. Please take care of our children. Poor Kunju (term of endearment for their son), please take him to the Gulf with you. Don’t leave them and go like (my) father did. Please. With lots of love… Kisses.”
This is the letter is from Lini, to her husband Sajeesh. Lini is a 28-year-old nurse who gave way to Nipah virus infection on Monday. She wrote the letter as she judged her final hours at Perambra Taluk Hospital in Kozhikode in Kerala. Her kids Hrithul and Siddharth are now with her mother Radha.
Lini left for the hospital on Thursday after feeding Siddharth joining her duty by 6 pm. She was attending to three people from a family, infected by the deadly Nipah virus, all of whom who died later. Through the night Lini sat beside them talking and taking care of them.
She developed fever in the morning and as it aggravated, she was rushed to the medical college hospital. Lini video-called Sajeesh on her way to the hospital and told him she was sick, However, her husband, Sajeesh flew in before Lini passed away, met her at the isolated ICU and had a word with her.
Lini could make out that she is likely infected by Nipah and should be taken to the isolated ward. Her mother and sisters wanted to meet her in the hospital, but she did not let them get near her.
The family did not want any hazard in the neighbourhood, so consented that she be buried in Kozhikode though they couldn`t take a final look at her.
