Five relief camps have been opened in Kodenchery and Thiruvamabady grama panchayats in the district to accommodate those who have been affected by the landslip at Pulloorampara and Anankkampoyil. A 110-metre stretch of road has been washed away near Kandappanchal Bridge that connects Kodencheri and Thiruvambady panchayats, besides a half kilometre stretch of Anakkampoyil-Karimbu Road. The control room numbers are 0495-2371002 (Collectorate), 0495-2223088 (Tamarasseri taluk), 0495- 2372966 (Kozhikode taluk), 0496-2620235 (Koyilandy taluk) and 0496-2522361 (Vadakara taluk). As many as 474 persons from 119 families have been accommodated at the camps set up at St.Joseph’s Higher Secondary School, Pulloorampara; St. Sebastian’s L.P. School, Muthappanpuzha; Parish Hall in Karimbu; Government U.P. The Collector has declared holiday for all schools that function as relief camps.
