More landslip-hit families to be shifted to rented houses

House constructionIncidentally, some of those who were earlier accommodated at relief camps have found houses on their own. There are as many as 20 persons in two camps, and they will be relocated to rented houses at the earliest. At the same time, the authorities are making efforts to find houses in nearby villages for the affected families. Seven more families are waiting for their turn to move out from relief camps opened by the Revenue Department at Kattippara following the recent landslip. However, the search for rented accommodation is still on even as some house owners have been expressing reluctance to hand over their houses.
