Notwithstanding the bad weather, the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) is confident of restoring power supply in a majority of the areas in Kozhikode, Malappuram and Palakkad districts soon. KSEB engineers said they were technically equipped to isolate a particular problem spot and supply power to neighbouring areas. Meanwhile, no power supply regulation is in place in areas where the relief camps have been opened. As of now, there are about one lakh consumers fully hit by the disruption of power supply. Officials said a majority of the calls were related to the disconnection of damaged power supply lines.
