All schools in the district will reopen on Wednesday after the Onam vacation and almost another closed week forced by the monsoon fury. Meanwhile, Kozhikode-based TBS Publishers and Distributors will distribute 15,000 notebooks, school bags, and other study materials for free to flood-hit students. Waterlogging in a primary health centre (PHC) at Kakkodi had forced the authorities to relocate it to the nearby government lower primary school. Cleaning has been going on since August 23 as around hundred schools had been turned into relief camps after the devastating floods. The Deputy Director of Education has directed headmasters and headmistresses to submit a list of students who had lost belongings.
