Raghavan, MP, has urged Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu to introduce a passenger train service between Kozhikode and Kannur to ease the inconvenience of rail passengers in the sector. Rail passengers face difficulties in the morning and evening on account of the shortage of trains in the Kannur-Kozhikode sector. He said the introduction of a new passenger train either in the Kozhikode-Palakkad sector or Kannur-Kozhikode via Guruvayur sector would help solve the problem to an extent. The rush would worsen with the opening of educational institutions, Mr. Raghavan said. M.K.
