more-in Communist Party of India (Marxist) Polit Bureau member Brinda Karat will inaugurate a campaign titled ‘women’s collective for upholding secularism’, organised by the All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) here on Friday. P. Sathidevi, secretary, AIDWA, told the media here on Wednesday that the effort would be to rally women against the communal forces which were gaining ground across the country. She said that women were the most affected by the threats posed by these forces to pluralism and secular values. The Sangh Parivar was creating communal polarisation and was coming out with diktats that defy rational thinking. Such groups were now deciding what women should wear and eat. “Many women were part of the struggle for freedom. To revive their memory, we are also organising an exhibition titled ‘Who is a patriot’,” she said.
