LUCKNOW: A day after the UP Investors Summit got over, the city's cleanliness and orderliness left much to be desired. While the street vendors and encroachments returned to the major streets of the city like Lohia Path , Ashok Marg and MG Marg, jeopardising the traffic once again, the venue Indira Gandhi Pratisthan IGP ) was now home to dumps of trash and garbage material.In the run-up to the summit all major arteries, crossings and dividers had been decorated with more than 50,000 earthen pots, flowers and greenery. However, as soon as it got over, the entire stuff was removed. The welcome gate and the decoration at the IGP was all torn and dumped while leftover food stuff and garbage were also scattered all over.The worst-hit area was street encroachment. Two-wheelers and cars were seen once again flanking on sides of IGP, Lohia Path, Hazratganj etc. Traffic police who were streamlining the traffic during the summit near Lohia Path and 1090 crossing were also absent on Friday. As a result, many two-wheelers and cars were seen taking wrong turns.The heritage monuments that were decorated with flower pots were now left without decoration. Only a UP tourism board was displayed at the site. Most streets of Gomtinagar and Hazratganj that were cleaned before the summit saw resurfacing of street vendors.
