AGRA: In less than 24 hours, four including two teenagers were found hanged from trees or ceiling in Farrukhabad, Firozabad, Agra and Etah districts of Uttar Pradesh On Wednesday morning, a 28-year-old youth was found hanging from a tree in Hazratganj village of Kampil police jurisdiction, Farrukhabad district . Identified as Dharmendar Yadav, the victim hailed from Pritampura village of Kasganj district According to victim’s brother Umesh Yadav , “A week ago, Dharmendar eloped with a local married woman with whom he was in relationship for long time. After our request, Dharmendar returned to woman’s village along with her on Tuesday evening, but was found dead 12 hours later. We believe that, he was murdered by woman’s in-laws and her other relatives and later hanged him to show it a suicide bid.”Later Kampil police recovered the victim’s body and sent it for postmortem. Mahendra Triphati, Station house officer of Kampil said, “Once the autopsy report confirms Dharmendar’s death as murder, we will lodge FIR based on the written complaint of the victim’s relative.”In Firozabad, an 18-year-old youth identified as Lalit Kumar was found dead just 200 meters away from his home in Kutakpur village of Jasrana. His body was found hanging from a tree.Victim’s mother Chanda Vati, said, “Lalit was honey trapped by his aunt who along with her brother-in-law murdered my son for money. He was working as daily wage labour and his aunt use to extort money.”Victim’s body was sent for post-mortem. According to SHO Udal Singh, “Based on autopsy report, action would be taken.”While in Etah, a 16-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging from ceiling of roof, after she was reprimanded by her boyfriend relatives, who purportedly caught the couple in objectionable condition. The incident took place in Awagarh police jurisdiction of Etah district.According to victim’s father, “My daughter was insulted in public and this abetted her to committed suicide.” Based on victim’s father complaint, police lodged FIR against boyfriend’s brother Pramod, sister-in-law Reshma and sister Shvani under IPC section 306 (Abetment of suicide).Another suicide was reported in Pinhat, where a 30-year-old man allegedly hanged himself from a tree near Chambal river.Identified as Daya Ram, resident of Bich Ka Pura village, the victim was disappointed after his father allegedly transferred most of the land property on his brother’s name.Sahil, the victim’s cousin said, “Over a property dispute, Daya committed suicide.”
