Lucknow University to list reasons for expulsion

LUCKNOW: Apparently under pressure to admit 25 student leaders Lucknow University will be uploading all the indiscipline charges levelled against them in the past with the date and repeated incidences of indiscipline they were involved in on Friday.This is for the first time LU will be listing reasons for the expulsion of students on its website. "We will upload in detail the acts of indiscipline they were involved in. It's not just for showing black flags to CM Yogi, but also in the context of admission related frauds, vandalising university property, holding the vice-chancellor hostage and various other acts of indiscipline," said an LU official. So far, only the names of expelled students were uploaded by the proctor board along with the father's name, address and date of expulsion.A list of 129 expelled students from 2010 to 2018 was uploaded by the university on July 3, a day before the violent incident took place on the campus in which 12 university professors were assaulted by the expelled students.The list included the names of some student leaders who were denied admission to PG courses on June 28.
