The Lucknow-based State Ayurvedic and Unani medicine workshop is all set to start production of 80 more kinds of Ayurvedic medicines and 43 types of Unani medicines.Many of these Unani medicines will be manufactured at the 70-year-old workshop after an interval of 30 years.
The government has sanctioned a budget of Rs 50 lakh for production of Unani medicines and Rs 2.23 crore for Ayurvedic medicines.
The Ayurvedic medicines will include those used for treating heart and liver diseases, and skin and stomach disorders.
Superintendent of the workshop, Dr Praksha Chandra, said, "The medicines will be made using both traditional and modern ways while maintaining high standards to ensure patients' good health.
