LUCKNOW: There will be no relief from hot and sultry conditions for another two days. According to Met department officials, the city will reel under high humidity levels till Thursday with an increase in the maximum and minimum temperatures by a degree or two. Rainfall is expected only after two days, the officials said."It will be partly cloudy but no rain is expected for the next two days. Light showers to moderate rainfall is expected only after Thursday," said state Met director JP Gupta. He said the maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 27 and 37 degrees respectively on Tuesday.According to the climate monitoring station at Lucknow University, westerlies have led to an increase in the day temperatures and no rainfall is expected for another 48 hours."Rain is likely to make a comeback by the weekend. Even partly cloudy conditions in the next two days may not bring in heavy rainfall until the two factors ---- enough moisture and the rising up of the warm air due to high temperatures which creates idle conditions for rain is met," said director Prof Dhruv Sen Singh of LU climate monitoring centre.The maximum and the minimum temperatures recorded on Monday was 35.5 and 28.3 respectively.
