Lucknow University to conduct online skill test for career assistance

LUCKNOW : From this year, Lucknow University will conduct an online skill test for students to assess their abilities in finding a suitable career option for students. Based on the analysis of the test, the university will invite companies for campus placement.The test will be jointly conducted by the LU and Association of Indian Universities. Introduction of new skill-based courses and the ones which are not so popular among students will be available at the centre for student’s assistance. After the analysis of the result, the counselling team will rope in experts in the most preferred careers by the students,” she added. At times students don’t realise their potential and opt for a field where their talent is not completely materialised,” said Lal.“A skill development centre is being set up to assist students.

All undergraduate and postgraduate students will appear in the test.The online examination will be held once in a year and it will be free of cost for students who want career guidance.Career counselling and placement cell director Madhurima Lal said: “The students will have to register themselves at www.wheebox.com, the link of which will be made available on the university’s official website.” The registration window, she said, for the skill test is open and the last date to fill the registration form is October end. The examinees will not have to wait for the results as it will be declared within hours after the exam is held.“The university has received a letter from the association of Indian universities which will support a student in finding a suitable career.
