Chinese crowdpuller at Aligarh goat market

The name “Chinese goat” has spread in the market and many people are coming to see it thinking that it has come from China.With a local news channel flashing news about the “Chinese” goat in Aligarh, curiosity has increased among local residents. Wasid said that ‘Chinese’ eats fruits, chana, dry fruits and even gulps a cold drink during winters. AGRA: Ahead of Bakrid, a two and a half feet tall goat has created a buzz in Aligarh due to its short height and narrow eyes. He said Sultan will be sacrificed tomorrow.Meanwhile, all arrangements have been made by the Aligarh administration for the festival. He said though Sultan has a better personality and weighs around 150 kgs, people only want to see Chinese.

Its owner, Abdul Wasid , says that it is not for sale and he will sacrifice it for his own family.Wasid admitted that the name “Chinese” has given a lot of publicity to the animal, who otherwise is call PK. Wasid said that ‘Chinese’ eats fruits, chana, dry fruits and even gulps a cold drink during winters. He said, “We love Chinese and have decided to sacrifice him a few days after Eid, so that it could live a bit longer.”He said Chinese is a year old and weighed about 70 kgs two months ago. He said he would not weigh it again as it will be soon sacrificed for Allah.Wasid claimed that his goat is “unique” and he hasn’t seen any like it. “Even the Delhi market that I visited recently doesn’t have anything similar”, he boasted and added “Chinese jaissa koi nahin”.Wasid told TOI that he has another goat, an Afghan breed , and he has named it Sultan. He said though Sultan has a better personality and weighs around 150 kgs, people only want to see Chinese. He said Sultan will be sacrificed tomorrow.Meanwhile, all arrangements have been made by the Aligarh administration for the festival. DM, CB Singh said that sacrifice of the animals will not be allowed in the open as per the CM’s directives. He said, if someone tries to violate the directions, stringent action will be taken against them.
