LUCKNOW: A man claiming to be OSD of principal secretary, appointments, duped 10 people by promising them government jobs . The accused, who is on the run, conned 10 residents of Sarvodayanagar and Indiranagar. Ghazipur police received 10 complaints from victims who said that they were fleeced by one Rampujan Sharma who promised jobs in Uttar Pradesh Secretariat. The complainants alleged that they gave money to Sharma but did not get jobs .SHO Ghazipur, RK Singh said, “The first complaint was received from one Surendra who had bumped into Sharma when he went to Secretariat for some work. Sharma assured class IV jobs for Surendra’s sons and asked him to visit his house in Kalyanpur.” “Sharma asked me to give Rs 10 lakh, Rs 5 lakh for each job, and told me to give him my sons’ certificates. I did as instructed and paid Rs 10 lakh via three cheques which he got encashed and asked me to wait till August,” said Surendra in his complaint.“When I called him in August, he asked me to collect appointment letters which were ready but asked for more money. When I confronted, he threatened me and fled,” said Surendra.
