Talking about the canteen in the newly building, where the lawyers have to cover a long distance even for a cup of tea, made people laugh. "The play was based on the happenings which take place daily in the court which people are unaware of.

For the first time, a group of 19 advocates of the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court , staged a play titled 'Swaang' at Sangeet Natak Akademi . All the seats of Sant Gadge Auditorium of SNA were occupied much before the given time. The audience was seen eager to watch the two-hour play, and as soon as the curtains went up, they applauded for the actors to boost their confidence.A scene from the play (BCCL/ Aditya Yadav)Directed by Swatantra Kale and written and produced by IB Singh, every minute of the play was made interesting by the actors. "The play was based on the happenings which take place daily in the court which people are unaware of. Since it was the debut performance for most of the actors, they used to practise daily for 3-4 hours to overcome their stage fear," shared the director, Swatantra Kale, adding, "It took three months for the lawyers to practise for the two-hour play.
