Two persons dead as speeding car crashes on Shaheed Path

LUCKNOW: Two persons died and two others suffered serious injuries after their speeding car hit a divider and overturned on Shaheed Path near Ekana stadium on early Monday. Hariz, who was at the wheels, lost control and the car crashed into a divider and then overturned.The victims, residents of Kanpur, were returning home from Lucknow. The deceased were identified as Hariz Kamran (28) and Reena (23). Eyewitnesses said the car was being driven at high speed. The injured, identified as Shehnawaz Hussain(27) and Twinkle (24), are undergoing treatment at Ram Manohar Lohia hospital The accident occurred around 3am.

Eyewitnesses informed the police about the accident.Hariz and Reena were rushed to KGMU trauma centre where doctors declared them brought dead.Police suspect the car occupants were drunk as beer bottles were found in the car. No FIR was registered in the case yet.
