UPSRTC bus mows down Class 8 student

Ankush Singh, a Class VIII student, was going to school on a bicycle when an UPSRTC bus coming from Kaiserbagh knocked him down.The bus driver apparently did not spot Ankush who was crossing the road.As Ankush lay bleeding on the ground, the bus driver and the conductor fled from the spot leaving behind the bus. Ankush’s father Dheerendra Singh is a farmer and the family lives in Bhauli village of BKT.The body has been sent for postmortem. LUCKNOW: A 12-year-old boy was run over by a UP State Road Transport Corporation bus near Bakshi Ka Tabab police station on Monday.The accident occurred around 8:45am. SHO BKT Amar Nath Verma, who visited the spot, had no clue whether there were passengers in the bus at the time of accident.Locals along with the police took Ankush to KGMU trauma centre where doctors declared him brought dead.The bus has been seized, said police spokesperson AK Singh.
