When told that the immersion of idols had to done at Jhulelal park ghat, they said that they did not know about any such directive.Many devotees were seen immersing idols at Shaheed Smarak ghat.“ Ganesh ji ke visarjan ke liye hamein kisi se poochhna nahi hai,” said Pawan Kumar a devotee.ADM trans-Gomti Anil Kumar said, “We had designated Jhulelal park for immersion and had deployed police. We cannot use force on devotees.”Bodies of 3 devotees fished out: Bodies of three youths and an unidentified man were fished out from Gomti river in Khadra locality of Hasanganj. Three youths had drowned during immersion of Lord Ganesha’s idol at Dhobi Gaht on September 19.SHO Hasanganj Amber Singh said that bodies of Rahul (21), Raja (20) and Narendra (18), all of Khadra, were recovered from Gomti. Body of an unidentified man was also recovered.
