According to the police officials, a total 14 policemen and 31 others were challaned for violating traffic rules.During this drive, some policemen also tried to save their fellow men by giving helmets from inside the premises. Some were seen waiting to end the operation in the SP office itself. The SP asked the traffic police to check if policemen are following these orders or not.The traffic police team in front of the SP office on Thursday started a drive against ignorant policemen with Traffic Inspector Vinod Kumar Anuragi.The traffic police personnel checked many vehicles and issued challans for flouting the rules. HARDOI: A total of 14 policemen were booked during a special drive which was organised to book erring police officers violating traffic rules in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh.The drive was organised on the instructions of Superintendent of Police to identify the erring police officials.Many vehicles of police personnel were checked which were parked in front of the district SP office on Thursday and all those who were found violating rules were challaned at the spot.According to the information, SP Alok Priyadarshi had instructed all the policemen to wear the helmets while riding two wheelers and fasten the seat belts while driving the cars.
