Lekhpal held for taking exam for sisterinlaw

LUCKNOW: A lekhpal was arrested for writing the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibilty Test Examination (UP TET) in place of her sister-in-law in Shravasti district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday.Police said that during checking of examinees outside Janta Inter college in Bhinga area, Lalita Devi's photo did not match with her admit-card.As a result, she was apprehended and later during probe it surfaced that Devi who was also a Lekhpal of the Bhinga area had come to take the exam in place of her sister-in-law Sadhna Singh.Singh was incompetent so Devi sought to write her exam and get it cleared, said SHO Sonwa, DD Mishra.SP (Sravasti) Ashish Srivastava said that Devi is under arrest and a case is being lodged against her under relevant sections of the IPC.
