AGRA: Posters urging students to take a pledge to rebuild Babri Masjid were put up in the Aligarh Muslim university AMU ) campus on Thursday.“Let’s pledge to rebuild Babri Masjid soon Inshallah” said the posters that appeared on the 26th anniversary of Babri Maszid demolition.
“Mosque is mosque and will remain so till eternity,” said the poster which had an picture of the Babri Masjid, prior to its destruction in 1992.
He claimed that there are some anti-national elements inside the campus who are trying to provoke students for taking such initiatives.
He said, this is a sensitive issue and the Vice Chancellor should take action against those who are trying to vitiate the atmosphere in the campus.
He said, a poster can not be put up in the campus without an approval of the proctor and no permission was sought for these posters.The AMU Students’s union, however, defended the poster on the plea of freedom for speech and expression.
