A rocking Bollywood night for Lucknowites at the Mahotsav

Singers Brijesh Shandilya and Shirley Setia performed at the mahotsav to a jam-packed pandal. The chilly cold night of Lucknow was filled with music at the Bollywood nite organised at the Lucknow Mahotsav over the past week. “More than the audience, I am really excited to perform in Lucknow because this is my hometown,” said Brijesh. He sang some peppy Bollywood hit tracks like Hamma Hamma, Aankhon Mein Teri, Chaiyya Chaiyya, Banno and more.Brijesh Shandilya (BCCL/ Farhan Ahmad Siddiqui)But the highlight of the evening was the performance of Indo-Kiwi singer Shirley Setia. The event started with the performance of Brijesh Shandilya, the Jugni singer, who entered the stage with the song Go Go Golmaal which had the crowd calling out his name.

I am really excited to perform and moreover, I am excited to explore this city as I have heard a lot about it from my friends.” Shirley rendered some of her hits and also her favourite tracks including Tum Se Hi, Gulabo, Aati Kya Khandala, Laila Main Laila and had the audience dancing with her till late in the night.— Prachi Arya
