10 lose Rs 9.6 lakh from bank accounts

LUCKNOW: A gang of fraudsters siphoned off Rs 9.62 lakh from the bank accounts of 10 different persons in Lucknow. The complainants lodged a complaint with the cybercell on Thursday.In Ghazipur , the miscreants withdrew Rs 2.51 lakh from the bank account of Partima Yadav, a resident of Indiranagar on January 8.In Indiranagar, Lucknow University staffer Alok Singh was duped of Rs 1.2 lakh. In Madiaon, Rs 3 lakh were siphoned off from Sarla Verma’s account, who is a resident of Shyam Vihar Colony, on January 8. Several such other instances also took place under different police stations—PGI, Gudamba, Chinhat, Ashiana and Gomtinagar—where people suffered a loss of Rs 2.91 lakh.
