'SP-BSP alliance would not last long'

LUCKNOW: BSP turncoat and cabinet minister in the Yogi Adityanath cabinet Swami Prasad Maurya on Friday said that the much anticipated SP-BSP would not last long because of the everlasting animosity between the SP and BSP workers. Maurya had switched over to the BJP in 2016 accusing the SP chief of selling tickets. His statement also came on a day when BJP asked its senior functionaries to fan out across the state and dispel the threat posed by the alliance in UP. But entering into an alliance with SP clearly shows that the BSP president does not adhere to what she thinks and says," Maurya said.Maurya said that the the BSP supremo has experience it in the past in 1995 when she was attacked. But entering into an alliance with SP clearly shows that the BSP president does not adhere to what she thinks and says," Maurya said.Maurya said that the the BSP supremo has experience it in the past in 1995 when she was attacked. ``Manyavar Kanshiram ke samay toota gathbandhan apne aap ki punavrati karne ja raha hai (The alliance which broke during Kanshiram’s days is going to repeat itself in the days to come),’‘ he said, adding that what Mayawati has been accusing the SP of will come to fore and people from the downtrodden class will be at the receiving end.Swami’s statements comes days after SP and BSP forged a pre-poll alliance to contest on 38 seats each, spelling trouble for the BJP in UP where it won a maximum of 71 seats. His statement also came on a day when BJP asked its senior functionaries to fan out across the state and dispel the threat posed by the alliance in UP.
