LUCKNOW: The Kushinagar hooch tragedy mastermind arrested by police for selling spurious liquor has revealed the names of four more men involved in the trade with him. Police will seek his custody on Monday.SP Kushinagar Rajeev Mishra said, “Yadav has revealed names of four others involved in selling spurious liquor with him. “We are also re-looking at the case registered against Yadav under excise act at Taryan Sujan police station in Kushinagar in 2016,” added Mishra. The two accused from Bihar also supply spurious liquor in other states.” Mishra added that liquor brought to UP by Yadav was sold in local markets and transported to other states, including Rajasthan and Delhi, as well. Two are from his native state Bihar while two others are from UP.

A team of Kushinagar police has been sent to Bihar to nab the accused while efforts are on to nab the two accused from UP, said police.Harendra Yadav, who was the main supplier of methyl alcohol that was allegedly used to produce spurious liquor was arrested from Bhilwara Rajasthan on February 13 and was produced in a Kushinagar court on Saturday after being brought on transit remand. Police will seek his custody on Monday.SP Kushinagar Rajeev Mishra said, “Yadav has revealed names of four others involved in selling spurious liquor with him. The two accused from Bihar also supply spurious liquor in other states.” Mishra added that liquor brought to UP by Yadav was sold in local markets and transported to other states, including Rajasthan and Delhi, as well. “We are also re-looking at the case registered against Yadav under excise act at Taryan Sujan police station in Kushinagar in 2016,” added Mishra. Yadav frequently visits Delhi where hew has purchased property, he claimed. Police have also detained his associates to unearth the complete supply chain.Police claimed that Yadav is also named in over 11cases, including three of dacoity, two of arms act and others for extortion, theft and loot registered in various police stations of Gopalganj in Bihar.
