20 new swine flu cases Lucknowrsquos highest single day count

LUCKNOW: As many as 20 new H1N1 cases were reported in the city on Wednesday. He said there are three types of swine flu : A, B and C. While C needs hospitalisation, those with A & B (80% cases) need home care. The list also included cases of two infants from the same family.According to officials, the strain of the virus circulating in the state this year is milder than before. The number is the highest for a single day so far. So far, only one person has died of H1N1 in the city,” said Dr SK Saxena.

LUCKNOW: As many as 20 new H1N1 cases were reported in the city on Wednesday. The number is the highest for a single day so far. The new cases took the city’s tally to 154 for the disease.Wednesday’s cases included those of two students of King George’s Medical University and a staff member at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences.Health department officials said four of the 20 new patients were hospitalised while the remaining were isolated at home. Experts pressed for prevention as the only way to keep trouble away. The list also included cases of two infants from the same family.According to officials, the strain of the virus circulating in the state this year is milder than before. “It is for this that the mortality rate is low. So far, only one person has died of H1N1 in the city,” said Dr SK Saxena. He said there are three types of swine flu : A, B and C. While C needs hospitalisation, those with A & B (80% cases) need home care. Pregnant women and elderly people with any disease need extra care.Listing out preventive steps, the doctors said no self-medication should be done.The infected patient should be isolated and should take proper rest to limit chances of relapse.
