LUCKNOW: In a major development, Lucknow University on Wednesday issued showcause notices to nine professors, seeking explanation for the delay in evaluation of answer-copies of postgraduation courses of their respective departments.These teachers did not evaluate copies during 60 days allotted to them, leading to delay in declaration of results. The professors have to reply to the notice in three days. The reminders for evaluation were sent by the examination superintendents to all head of the departments but still delay continues, the official added.“Even in 60 days these teachers could not evaluate a single answercopy and because of them the results of postgraduation courses have got delayed,” said Lucknow University vice-chancellor SP Singh.

The examinations got over on December 18, yet these professors did not open the bundles of the answer copies given to them for evaluation.
