Priyanka to kick off poll campaign from Sunday

LUCKNOW: After describing Lok Sabha elections as ‘nothing less than independence movement’, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra would formally kick off her party’s campaign in her karmabhoomi, Uttar Pradesh , when she arrives in Lucknow on Sunday.“She will finalise the poll campaign,” UPCC president Raj Babbar told reporters on Thursday after holding backto-back review meetings.There is a buzz Priyanka may launch Lok Sabha campaign from Allahabad — birthplace of her great grandfather Jawaharlal Nehru – and visit Anand Bhavan. “Those who are together should discuss, finalise policies and decide on candidates. Politicians have no decision making power),” the UP Congress president said.Babbar also dropped a subtle hint that Congress backed the Bhim Army chief in response to a query on whether Chandrashekhar Ravan would contest election from Varanasi seat.
