2 bikers fall to death from flyover in Lucknow

LUCKNOW: A drunk man and his colleague riding a motorcycle died after falling nearly 25 feet off PICUP flyover in Vibhutikhand , in Lucknow on late Thursday night.The incident occurred around 11 pm, when the man, later identified as Pramod Dubey (29), was heading home towards with his colleague, Satendra Pandey (27). Both of them were thrown off the two-wheeler and landed on their heads 25-feet- below, said Dwivedi.Both of them were not wearing helmets. Both work at a private ATM company, said the police.SHO Vibhutikhand, Rajeev Dwivedi, said that Dubey was riding the bike without a helmet and was drunk while Pandey was on the pillion.Eyewitnesses told us that Dubey was over speeding and lost control of his bike and hit the railing of the flyover. They were later rushed to Lohia hospital by police where they were declared brought dead on arrival.Doctors said the two died almost instantly as their skulls got fractured due to the fall, added the SHO.Locals said that many accidents take place on the stretch daily due to the absence of a speedbreaker.
