Dr Jagdish Gandhi said “The future of 2.5 billion children has become progressively more insecure and unprotected. Global problems need a World Parliament without a veto power system. We have appealed to President Donald Trump that he should urgently call a meeting of world leaders to initiate the formation of world parliament to safeguard the future of world’s children and generations yet-to-be born”

Dr Surabhi Sahai said that though World Parliament seems a distant reality, it is an immediate necessity. Mr Jayant Krishna said that UN should transform into a democratically elected world parliament, and international law should be strengthened. Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon stated that there is growing consciousness of the oneness of humanity and the interdependence of nations, and that for creating a world government that can solve supranational problems, we need countries to voluntarily cede some of their sovereignty, as did the countries of Europe when they formed the European Union.
