351 cases registered and 6,843 litres of illicit liquor seized during special enforcement drive | UP GOV

ïƒ˜ 351 cases registered.ïƒ˜ 6,843 litres of illicit liquor recovered.ïƒ˜ 102 persons arrested, 02 vehicles seized.

In compliance with the orders given by Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Yogi AdityaNathji, a special enforcement drive is being carried out to prevent the manufacture, sale and smuggling of illicit liquor in the state.

During the drive, stock verification in the licensed shops is being done and raids are being conducted at suspected places by the joint teams of Excise, Police and Administration. On31.5.2021,351 cases were registered in the state, 6,843litres of illicit liquor were recovered and 39,390 kg lahanused in preparingillicit liquor was destroyed on the spot. Along with it, 102 persons involved in the illegal act were arrested and 02 vehicles were also seized.
