Light, moderate rain expected during weekend in Uttar Pradesh

LUCKNOW: Conditions are becoming favourable for light to moderate rainfall in many parts of east UP and some districts in the central region, from Friday till Sunday.According to the state met department, there is low pressure area over Jharkhand and neighbouring Bihar. A trough-an extended low pressure area-is passing over southwest UP. The two systems are likely to further into UP on Friday leading to increase in rainfall activity in many parts of the east UP and some parts of central and west UP. "Light to moderate showers are expected in most parts of the state covered by the two weather systems from Friday till Sunday. In Lucknow, sky is expected to be generally cloudy with light rainfall activity. Rainfall can be heavy at isolated places in districts bordering Nepal and Bihar," said Mohammad Danish, senior scientist, state met department.
