More rain in store for Lucknow this week

LUCKNOW: The city is likely to receive light or moderate rainfall for a few days in a row by the end of this week. According to met department, a monsoon trough passing over Lucknow may result in rainfall activity, Wednesday onwards. The sky remained partly cloudy with maximum and minimum temperatures recorded at 32.8 and 25.9 degrees Celsius, respectively, on Sunday. "A monsoon trough is passing from the central parts of northern Uttar Pradesh to north Bangladesh across cyclonic circulation over southeast UP and neighbourhood and extends up to 1.5 km above mean sea level, which may lead to rainfall after Wednesday," said senior scientist Mohammad Danish.On Monday, maximum and minimum temperatures will be 34 and 25 degrees Celsius, respectively, with a partly cloudy sky becoming generally cloudy towards the afternoon or evening or night. Meanwhile, no significant change in weather conditions will be witnessed across UP on Monday.
