Biggest live control room by Noida cops

LUCKNOW: Noida police had established the biggest live control room in the country, with live monitoring of 200 places using 400 artificial intelligence-based CCTV. The control room was used to monitor live proceedings and city traffic during the recent MotoGP and International trade fair. Overall, 3000 police personnel were deployed for the successful conduct of the two events.Noida police commissioner Laxmi Singh said that the police had been preparing for the event for the past four months. She said that experts and stakeholders from the traffic department and police held several meetings and deliberations, keeping in mind the F1 racing issues that had cropped up in 2011. "It was a mess, but we didnt want to repeat it," she said.Singh said that several rounds of dry runs were conducted three days before the event, so that the traffic police and cops could get acclimatised and know what to do and when. "We reduced the ticket and parking time to two seconds for each vehicle," said Singh. Seven new roads were opened, and a QR code-based Google mapping parking site was prepared for spectators. Two dedicated VVIP corridors were also created.The police commissioner said that a wing of 300 cops was prepared and they were shown how such races are conducted in other countries of the world and how they are managed.
