Extra buses during Diwali got UPSRTC 236cr

Lucknow: UPSRTC operated extra buses on select routes during Diwali and Chhath festivals for the convenience of passengers, earning a revenue of over Rs 236 crore. Last year, the revenue earned by the corporation during the Diwali and Chhath festivals was around Rs 167 crore.Minister of state for transport Dayashanker Singh said that extra buses were operated between a few select regions during November 10-20.As many as 16.8 lakh passengers boarded roadways buses during the period. The explosive was destroyed on the spot.Mumbai: BEST deploys AC double decker e-buses on BKC routeMumbais BEST undertaking has deployed electric powered air-conditioned double decker buses on route number 310, which connects Kurla station (West) to Bandra station (East). This route primarily serves the financial district of Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), which has a daily footfall of 6.5 lakh people. A total of 10 double decker AC e-buses, provided by Switch mobility, have been deployed on this route. These buses can be charged in 1.5 to 3 hours and have a range of 250 km. BEST has already deployed similar buses in the CBD of South Mumbai.
