Avail benefits of plans meant for women, girl child: Official

Lucknow: Under Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign, a flagship scheme of the ministry of women and child development, a special programme was hosted by the district administration on Monday at Avantibai Mahila District Hospital and Lokbandhu Shri Raj Narayan Joint Hospital. During the event, baby kits consisting of nutritional requirements were given to the parents of the girl child.Besides, the officials appealed to the parents to not shy away from sending their girls to schools and should endeavour to educate them and not clip their ambitions.Requesting the parents to avail the benefits of a host of schemes launched by the Centre and state government for the welfare of the girl child and women, the district probation officer appealed, We have requested the parents to avail the benefits of Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana.
