Awadh golf league heads into the knockouts stage

Lucknow: The sixth day of the Awadh Golf League powered by Halwasiya group saw two tied matches and some great golf to bring the round robin stage of the league to a close.The day also saw three teams making it through to the semis while one slot remains open and will be decided on Wednesday after the Skills Challenge of the league, where all teams are competing for a total of three points.In the first match of the day, Fantastic 12 and Perf who were both in contention for the semis locked horns and both won two matches apiece to end up with six points each. This meant Perf will be the second team which goes through to the semifinals from Group B, after Dabang Daredevils, who already made it through to the final four after Mondays matches. For the second match Ballers faced off against SAS Hyundai Vikings and the tie finished with a 10-1 scoreline in favour of SAS, who made it through to the final four from Group A. In the final round robin game Mulligators and Ninja Clan played a tight match and ended with 6 points each.The fourth team for the knockouts will be between RAV Spartans and The Palms Challengers and will be decided after tomorrows Skills Challenge. All teams will compete in 3 unique skills, which will test their golfing abilities. The three skills are Fastest Team Challenge, The Chipping Challenge and the Flop Challenge. Another interesting event which will take place tomorrow will be the DP Halwasiya Memorial Caddies Tournament, where caddies from all golf courses in Lucknow will take part in the annual tournament which is held as part of the Awadh Golf League and provides a great platform for the caddies to excel and play for prize money.We also published the following articles recentlyI-League players approached for match manipulation: AIFFThe All India Football Federation (AIFF) has disclosed that I-League players were targeted for match manipulation. The NBA has organized regular-season games for the 22 teams eliminated from the In-Season Tournament quarterfinals. Notably, there will be no games on the next two Sundays, December 3 and 10.Golf ball hits lawyer; 3 stitches on foreheadA lawyer in Pune was hit by a golf ball that flew off the Poona Club Golf Course. The lawyer, Amol Nakhate, got three stitches on his forehead. The club management and the player have been booked on charges of causing hurt. The Pune golf club is conducting an inquiry to identify the player involved. The club is also planning to install more safety nets to prevent such incidents in the future.
