The fourth groundbreaking ceremony (GBCIV), to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Lucknow on February 19, will set a new milestone for the Yogi Adityanath government with the launch of 14,537 projects with an investment of over Rs 10 lakh crore across all 75 districts of the state. Scheduled from February 19 to 21 at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow, the GBCIV is poised not only to expedite industrial growth across the entire state but also inject fresh momentum into industrial development within every district. The One District One Product scheme will also be showcased during the programme in all districts. Final preparations are underway for the GBCIV by the Yogi government, marking a significant milestone in the economic landscape of Uttar Pradesh. This mega event will witness the presence of prominent industrialists from India and abroad. On February 19, the GBCIV will also be organised in all 75 districts of UP. The district magistrates will play a crucial role in organising the event in the districts. Through the GBCIV, a total of 14,537 projects with an investment of Rs 10,15,583 crore are fully prepared to be implemented in the state. This includes 300 projects with an investment of Rs 500 crore, 895 projects with an investment ranging from Rs 100 to Rs 500 crore, 4,577 initiatives with investments ranging from Rs 10 to Rs 100 crore, and 8,735 projects with an investment of Rs 1 to Rs 10 crore. After the implementation of all these projects, more than 34 lakh jobs will be generated. Chief Minister Yogi has directed officials to ensure that during the district-level groundbreaking ceremonies, events and exhibitions showcasing the One District One Product initiative are set up. Additionally, the ground verification for ready projects for GBCIV should be completed with 100 per cent accuracy, he added. The presentations during the district-level events will offer glimpses of the evolving landscape of Uttar Pradesh, transforming into Udyam Pradesh, before investors and local entrepreneurs. Moreover, the main programme of GBCIV in Lucknow will be telecast live during the district events, ensuring widespread coverage. The state government organised the UP Global Investors Summit in February 2023. Prior to this summit, government ministers and officials initiated dialogues with industries through roadshows held in major global industrial hubs and metropolitan cities. As a result, the state received investment proposals of approximately Rs 40 lakh crore last year. Improved law and order, new policies formulated for various sectors, enhanced transport connectivity and uninterrupted electricity supply have attracted industrialists from around the world to Uttar Pradesh.
