Pact with China to aid tourism, biz

Lucknow: Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) will sign an MOU with a delegation of Wenzhou city of China on Monday for social and cultural knowledge exchange. LMC said that it is also looking forward to getting Wenzhou's expertise and financial support in developing Lucknow as a Smart City. Since UP is home to a large number of micro, small and medium enterprises, the tie-up will help in promoting industrial growth here. The tie-up would benefit LMC in promoting tourism, trade and commerce.Additional municipal commissioner PK Srivastava said, "Officials from Wenzhou's municipal, economic, commerce and technology departments are coming to the city to sign an MOU with the civic body. "Wenzhou is known for its leather factories.
