Lack of coordination delays project

The commissioner said the agencies should submit all these details with the consultant to prepare the plan soon. Lucknow: In view of the lack of departmental coordination in executing Smart City project, departments like traffic police, Jal Sansthan, Jal Nigam, LDA, Lucknow Metro, city transport etc; would submit the detailed project reports (DPRs) of key projects in their departments to the Smart City consultant on priority so that they can be merged with the plan.Lucknow divisional commissioner has also ordered the departments to form a Whatsapp group to remain connected on a regular basis. The commissioner ordered tehsildars and lekhpals of both LDA and LMC to jointly work on report and submit all details to the consultant soon.The electricity department informed the commissioner that it had prepared its DPR worth Rs 215 crore for shifting transformers from road and laying underground cables in Kaiserbagh area. LMC , which is the nodal agency for the project, had apprised the commissioner that it had been asking for maps and details about areas covered under Kaiserbagh from LDA but the authority had failed to provide so.Kaiserbagh and the surrounding areas have been selected by LMC to be developed as Smart City model, hence it is seeking location details and maps from LDA about famous vegetable, fruit and Marris markets on Latouche Road of Kaiserbagh.
