LUCKNOW: UP chief minister Aditya Nath Yogi has asked his ministers to come up with a report card of their departments at the end of 100 days of their swearing in. "There will no warning...the state government would get an FIR registered against the corrupt officials and send them to jail," he claimed. The mechanism, Sharma said, has been put in place to ensure "visibility" of the government at the grassroots. This would be apart from the public redress meeting by the CM on a day-to-day basis at his official residence. "There have been complaints about officials not reaching the spot to ensure redress of grievances and delivery of justice to the aggrieved people," Sharma said.Sharma categorically underlined the state government's adoption of 'zero tolerance' towards corruption.

LUCKNOW: UP chief minister Aditya Nath Yogi has asked his ministers to come up with a report card of their departments at the end of 100 days of their swearing in. The period of review is to begin from March 19—the day Yogi took oath as CM.The decision comes a day after various government departments completed their presentation before the CM.Announcing the decision, UP government spokesperson and cabinet minister Srikant Sharma said all cabinet ministers and state ministers (independent charge) have been allocated two districts each where they would review development projects and the governance delivery system. The state ministers have each been allocated one district. The mechanism, Sharma said, has been put in place to ensure "visibility" of the government at the grassroots. He said there have been reports that projects and schemes were not getting implemented at the ground level despite being reviewed by the state government.Sharma said ministers have also been asked to conduct 'Jan Sunwai' (public redress) at the state BJP office each day. This would be apart from the public redress meeting by the CM on a day-to-day basis at his official residence."Issues related to law and order, education, health, electricity and civic facilities need to be addressed expeditiously," Sharma said.He added that while the civic authorities had been asked to ensure cleanliness at the village level through inclusion of people, doctors have been directed to be present in hospitals at night.Sharma also said the state government would begin a drive against polythene in all districts. Polythene is a major cause of blockage in drains leading to water logging during rains, he said. The minister said the state government would keep a close watch on all districts and would summon officials from there if more problems were reported."There have been complaints about officials not reaching the spot to ensure redress of grievances and delivery of justice to the aggrieved people," Sharma said.Sharma categorically underlined the state government's adoption of 'zero tolerance' towards corruption."There will no warning...the state government would get an FIR registered against the corrupt officials and send them to jail," he claimed.
